There are too many false definitions of fascism around. A fascist used to work for a Roman elite, one of four people who walked alongside their master being carried by slaves. They held a Fasci (see pic.), which was used to beat the plebs if they didn't respect the position of the person being carried.
Fascism is "looking down on people from an imaginary position of authority or imagined status due to wealth, or group the fascist belongs to. Royals, Elites, and politicians are fascist by definition.
