Mushin-mind translates directly from Japanese into "no-mind mind". It is the ability to halt the recall of memory when dealing with any moment in life. Solutions come from nowhere when this mind is experienced.
As a martial arts practitioner and meditator, and in the past Christian and thinker, I've had the opportunity to experience no-mind for myself.
We are trained to hold our minds in a reactive state to knowledge and information, and if neither of the aforementioned sources, then entertainment or self-pleasure. A constant inbound stream of facts, concepts, news and events, other's behavior and aspirations, etc. etc.
This method of experiencing the world causes the critical faculty, termed so due to it being the deciding aspect of the human brain, to go into a state of non-reflection and absorption of the consensus mind, transmitted by the groups to which we have attached, and also from the entertainment we select to fill the rest of our moments in time.
This turns human-beings into Organic Robots. Slaves to one system and brand of thinking for work and gain, and as a primary steering factor the Limbic system of a tricked human brain.
The Limbic system is a complex set of structures that lies on both sides of the thalamus, just under the cerebrum. It includes the hypothalamus, the hippocampus, the amygdala, and several other nearby areas. It appears to be primarily responsible for our emotional life and has a lot to do with the formation of memories and fight or flight responses. This is where duality is expressed from. We have been trained to be lizard-brained.
Oxford-syndrome, a frame of mind, produced by the idea of success, gained during education and further education, to think more of oneself.
